Sustained and intermediate steps to improving public confidence.

The current evidence suggests that public confidence in the police is likely to increase if citizen focused policing is successfully adopted as an overarching organisational philosophy, and neighbourhood policing continues to be embedded within all forces. The Citizen Focus Hallmarks outline an approach to the design and delivery of services which articulates the citizen focus philosophy and supports this embedding process.
